PUSC - PUSB Training 2024 : Building and Maintaining Harmonious Organizational Relationships
President University, February 17th, 2024 - PUSC - PUSB Training was held to build and maintain harmonious relationships between PUSC and PUSB.
President University, February 17th, 2024 - President University Student Council (PUSC) and President University Student Board (PUSB) recently held an event called PUSC - PUSB Training on February 17th, 2024 at Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University. This event was attended by members of PUSC and PUSB to fulfill the purpose of the event which is to maintain a harmonious relationship between these organizations and to provide leadership training in organizations to address conflict. The tagline for this year's training is "Effective Resolution to Harmony Organization". This tagline contains a deep meaning that conflict can be overcome with effective resolution so that it can create a harmonious atmosphere in an organization. The agendas of this event have many positive impacts for both organizations, such as the Talk Show with Mr. Muhammad Sigit Andhi Rahman and Forum Group Discussion (FGD).
The theme of this year's training is "Conflict Resolution as an Effort to Build Harmony Between Organizations”. In the talk show session, Mr. Sigit explained “There are three values that need to be understood for defusing the conflict, which are power and priorities, care and closeness, and respect and recognition”. The theme mostly discussed by Mr. Sigit was how good conflict resolution can contribute to a more harmonious organizational environment and improve overall organizational productivity. This is aligned with organizational development, where the ability to resolve problems is fundamental to leveraging challenges as steps toward growth. Conflict resolution is not only about overcoming challenges but also turning them into creative and innovative opportunities.
This event was also beneficial in maintaining the relationship between both organizations. As an example in the FGD session, where each organization member is gathered together to discuss and solve a problem. They also must present the result after discussion, as a form to express their own opinion. This session brought benefits to the members on how they should align their thoughts, lower their egos, and build great teamwork.
Project Manager of this event, Safira Aulia Yasmin stated her impression of PUSC - PUSB Training 2024 as a form of building harmonious relationships between both organizations, she also said “The event itself ran smoothly, especially because the committee is from PUSC and PUSB, so they got to know each other and organized the event very well ”. In this way, it becomes the new step for PUSC and PUSB to create good cooperation between the two organizations.
PUSC and PUSB will maintain a good relationship in developing President University to become a campus that can create future leaders. Safira added, “After this event, I hope both PUSC and PUSB can be more bonded and avoid conflict that will appear in the future”, she hopes this event is an attempt to establish a harmonious university organization. Strong collaborations should be encouraged that allow PUSC and PUSB to work together on any events organized by both.
PUSC is a legislative organization and has cooperation and relationship with PUSB in running their annual event well. Moreover, PUSB is an executive body that runs the work program at the university level by overseeing the Club and Community (CnC) at President University. Furthermore, the supervisory function is carried out comprehensively by PUSC through Commission IV. Thus, the relationship between these two organizations is expected to increase solidarity and cooperation to have a superior impact on President University.
