PUSC - PUMA FORUM: AN ACTIVITY TO GATHER THE ASPIRATION OF PUMA
President University, 08 March 2024 - PUSC - PUMA Forum was held to accommodate the aspirations and suggestions of all PUMA and activities to discuss.
President University, March 08, 2024 – The President University Student Council (PUSC) has just held a PUSC PUMA Forum to accommodate the aspirations and suggestions of all President University Major Association (PUMA) on Friday, March 08, 2024, at Theater 1 and 2 PUCC. This forum was attended by the PUSC Board of Directors, Commission IV Representatives, Chairperson, and Vice-Chairperson from each PUMA as representatives of their respective PUMA to express the challenges experienced in running the organization. This forum was well organized and followed the applicable rules and regulations.
PUSC PUMA Forum is one of the efforts of PUSC as the highest legislative organization to realize its functions, including mediation and aspirations for building a better President University. All PUMA welcomed this activity, with many participants actively conveying their aspirations and giving their suggestions during the forum.
PUMA is an organization that represents each major at President University. This organization functions under the executive structure, which means it focuses on organizing events or activities planned in the annual work program and is limited to the scope of each major.
In the PUMA Speak Up Forum Session, many PUMAs conveyed the challenges faced in running their organizations due to new policies that had just been issued regarding organizations on campus. Some of these policies become obstacles for each PUMA regarding every activity or event that will be held. Furthermore, PUSC will accommodate all aspirations and suggestions submitted by all PUMAs to be consulted with the authorities, such as Student Affairs, related Deans, Head of Study Program, and Rectorat. In the discussion session, PUSC also explains some aspirations and suggestions that can be answered directly at the time. In addition, PUSC will continue to receive aspirations and suggestions directly outside the forum session if things still need to be conveyed.
Through this forum, it is hoped that the challenges faced by all PUMAs can be resolved quickly and responsively so that the work programs prepared by each PUMA can be carried out as planned. This forum also encourages critical thinking from representatives of each PUMA to express their opinions. By doing so, this forum shapes the character of students who are brave and active. In addition, this forum reflects PUSC's commitment to ensuring the prosperity of President University students.
PUSC provides matters related to aspirations and suggestions in Pay Attention, which Commission II carries out, while Commission III, known as Decree, makes policies related to organizational rules. Thus, the PUSC - PUMA Forum is the next step for PUSC in implementing its functions and as a bridge between students and President University to harmonize the vision and mission of developing a campus that encourages students to be active.
