Developing Exceptional Leaders: The Success of PUSC Regeneration Training 2025
President University, September 14th - 15th, 2024 - The President University Student Council (PUSC) has successfully conducted the PUSC Regeneration Training 2025 for batch 2024 students, an online leadership activity designed to enhance the skills of future student leaders. Held over two days from September 14th to 15th, 2024, this event focused on preparing new candidates to effectively contribute to the Student Council and develop essential leadership qualities.
Held via Zoom, the training was attended by the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Executive Board of PUSC 2024, including all candidate members. This year's theme, "Building Integrity," emphasises the importance of honesty, accountability, and ethical behaviour in leadership. At the same time, this tagline, "United in Vision, Strong in Mission," highlighted the candidates' shared vision and collective strength, emphasising that success is achieved through individual leadership unity and dedication to common goals. The training also included an introduction to PUSC itself, providing an overview of its mission and role within the university and a detailed introduction to each structural function, making the candidates understand the responsibilities and functions of every division in PUSC.
Throughout this training, candidates engaged in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), which fostered teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking. These discussions also allowed candidates to expand their social and professional networks and enhance collaboration. Additionally, the committee included game sessions to encourage personal growth, creativity, and independent problem-solving skills.
Jessy (Vice-Project Manager) stated, “PUSC Regeneration 2025 has demonstrated the enthusiasm and professionalism of our candidates. I hope this experience helps them develop their skills and grow as leaders. I also want to thank the committees for their dedicated work and excellent preparation. Best of luck to all candidates!” This remark from Jessy boosted the candidates' performance during the training itself.
