President University, February 20th, 2025 – The PUSC (President University Student Council) held a forum event with PUMA (President University Major Association) on February 20th, 2025, at Theater 1 & 2 of PUCC. This forum aimed to facilitate dialogue, clarify organizational responsibilities, and strengthen collaboration between PUSC and PUMA.

The forum was led by Chairperson of PUSC 2025 Alif Elang Abhipraya, with Vice-Chairpersons Muhamad Rio Diva Nagara and Pyae Sone Maung Maung. It was attended by 18 members of PUSC and 38 members of PUMA, alongside representatives from both organizations, to discuss various issues.

Throughout the session, several topics were addressed. Key questions included the lack of recent general elections for the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson positions within PUMA, the responsibilities and standards of PUFA (President University Faculty Associations), coordination between PUSC and PUFA, and organizational regulations affecting PUMA and PUFA activities.

In response, the PUSC representatives clarified that, based on existing decrees, elections should be held regularly and that the recent absence of elections suggests a need for better adherence to organizational timelines. They emphasized the importance of monitoring and standardizing procedures, with plans to involve foreign students, promote transparency, and encourage active participation in decision-making processes. Furthermore, the forum underscored the importance of active engagement from PUFA in training and supervising PUMA, as well as establishing clear standards for new organizations.

The participants discussed the importance of holding forums for open communication, ensuring supervision and monitoring to uphold organizational standards, and the role of PUSC as an intermediary to address concerns related to organizational operations and resource transparency.

The forum concluded with commitments to improve election procedures, enhance collaboration between PUSC, PUFA, and PUMA, and establish regular communication channels to ensure that student voices are effectively heard and incorporated into university policies and activities.
