PUSC REGENERATION 2026: EMPOWERING STUDENTS TO BE INDEPENDENT AND CRITICAL PROBLEM SOLVERS.
The President University Student Council (PUSC) hosted a training session for new candidates from the 2025 batch, who participated as prospective members of the organization. The event took place at Charles Himawan Auditorium, President University, Cikarang, West Java, on September 20–21, 2025, spanning morning and afternoon sessions. This gathering created an interactive learning environment that emphasized skill development and collaboration. The training equipped participants with essential leadership skills and critical thinking abilities to contribute effectively to PUSC.
This training is intended exclusively for the batch of 2024. The training session was conducted for two days to cultivate prospective leaders who are responsible and disciplined. It also aimed to develop attitudes and character traits that uphold professionalism and ethics. These values will serve as essential foundations in the development of PUSC.To embody the spirit of PUSC Regeneration 2026, the theme “Pillar of Change” highlights that true leadership goes beyond stability; it requires challenging the status quo, driving transformation, and advocating with boldness. The accompanying tagline, “From hope, we lead. Through change, we grow.” reinforces the importance of courage, teamwork, and decisiveness for young leaders, with hope serving as the bedrock for progress toward a brighter future.
The two day program included dynamic activities to cultivate practical competencies. On the first day, an overview of PUSC was provided by the Board of Directors (BoD), Commissions, and Internal Bureau. This led to an alternating station rotation, where candidates tackled varied challenges to enhance adaptability and problem-solving skills.
On the second day, a Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD) focused on the topic “Cultural Change in Student Organizations – A Path Toward Inclusion or Disrespect the Legacy?” prevalent in many campus environments. Participants delved into approaches for fostering critical communication and respectful interactions. The session wrapped up with reflections from the Chairperson of PUSC 2025 on LGD's benefits: "This session really helped us to communicate through public speaking. You don't need to worry about expressing yourselves because everyone is still learning.".
Rahsya, a candidate for PUSC Regeneration 2026, reflected on the program's profound effects, “It was a very enjoyable experience, even though there were many challenges. That's where I gained a lot of experience from my first day to my second day.”. He particularly valued the alternating stations, explaining, “We learned about spontaneity and critical thinking in a short period of time, where we were asked to imagine certain roles and solve existing problems.”. These elements, he noted, quickly fostered confidence in role-playing and rapid decision-making under pressure.
Throughout the event, content was delivered through case study analyses at multiple stations on day one, followed by LGD on day two that encouraged diverse perspectives. The enthusiastic participation from all involved generated a vibrant and motivational atmosphere.
On behalf of the committee, we would like to express our gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the success of the PUSC Regeneration 2026 Training days. We hope that the knowledge and experience gained during this training will continue to be useful for their contribution to the organization, as well as for their future responsibilities as committed members.
This hope is in line with PUSC's goal, which is committed to developing not only members within the organization, but also all students of the President University, to shape strong and qualified future leaders through various activities and training programs.
