Cikarang, June 26, 2026 - The President University Student Council (PUSC) successfully organized the President University General Election (PUGE) 2027, a university-wide election held to elect the Chairperson of PUSC, as well as the President and Vice President of the President University Student Board (PUSB) for the 2027 term. Carrying the theme “Ascension to Legacy: Where Pillars Rise” and the tagline “Build to Rise, Meant to Last,” PUGE 2027 reflected PUSC’s commitment to promoting a transparent, inclusive, and participatory democratic process while empowering students to actively shape the future of student leadership at President University.

The election process commenced with the Election Information Forum, where members of PUSC 2026 and PUSB 2026 were invited to gain a comprehensive understanding of the election process. During the session, participants were introduced to the election timeline, candidate eligibility requirements, regulations, and procedures. They were also given the opportunity to seek clarification and raise questions before the candidate registration period officially opened. The forum laid the foundation for the election process by ensuring that prospective candidates entered the process with a clear understanding of the election procedures and requirements.

Following the Election Information Forum, candidate registration officially opened, inviting eligible students to register as candidates for the upcoming election. Prospective candidates then underwent a comprehensive selection process, including administrative screening, interviews with the University Management, and interviews with the current Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of PUSC 2026, as well as the current President and Vice President of PUSB 2026. Following the completion of the selection process, PUGE 2027 officially announced Rahsya Benova Akbar (Candidate Number 1), Kevin Linata (Candidate Number 2), and Aldi Fadilah (Candidate Number 3) as the candidates for the position of Chairperson of PUSC. For the election of the President and Vice President of PUSB, Equirise Cabinet (Candidate Number 1), represented by Rizkha Ramadhani Hafifah as the presidential candidate and Aisyah Kautsar as the vice presidential candidate, and Malvis Cabinet (Candidate Number 2), represented by Yufrizka Naomi Tunas as the presidential candidate and Muhammad Azzikra as the vice presidential candidate, were officially announced. The announcement marked the beginning of the campaign period.

As the campaign period commenced, the official candidates introduced their visions, missions, and proposed work programmes to the student body. To encourage meaningful student engagement, PUSC also opened the People’s Forum, allowing students to submit questions they wished to raise during the Public Debate. The selected questions were subsequently addressed during the Public Debate, moderated by Ms. Bilqis Aisya Nuri, Chairperson of PUSC 2026. The debate featured esteemed former PUSC leaders Mr. Lodri Sinaga, B.Comm., Mr. Alif Elang Abhipraya, and Mr. Muhamad Rio Diva Nagara, as well as esteemed former PUSB leaders Mr. Satria Hari Pratama, B.Comm., Ms. Putri Fatima Sunnia, and Mr. Rayhan Imam Saputra, who served as panelists throughout the debate. The debate provided candidates with the opportunity to present their visions, missions, and proposed work programmes, as well as respond to questions from the panelists and the student body, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of each candidate before casting their votes.

The election then entered Election Week, which was conducted over a period of five days through the President University Information System (PUIS), complemented by an offline voting booth at the Library Corner. By integrating both online and offline voting methods, PUGE 2027 successfully accommodated broader student participation, recording a total of 3,350 voters, significantly surpassing the initial target of 1,000 participants. This remarkable turnout reflected the growing enthusiasm of students to actively participate in the campus democratic process.

The election process concluded with Announcement Day, during which the official election results were announced to the President University community. Rahsya Benova Akbar (CIT 2025) was elected as the Chairperson of PUSC 2027, receiving 1,808 votes, while Kevin Linata (CIT 2025) was elected as the Vice Chairperson I of PUSC 2027, receiving 974 votes. Meanwhile, Yufrizka Naomi Tunas (IRE 2025) and Muhammad Azzikra (ACC 2025), representing the Malvis Cabinet, were elected as the President and Vice President of PUSB 2027, securing 1,672 votes. The announcement was followed by a symbolic plaque handover from the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of PUSC 2026 and the President and Vice President of PUSB 2026 to the newly elected student leaders. The event concluded with inaugural speeches delivered by the newly elected student leaders, officially marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership for both PUSC and PUSB.

More than an election, PUGE 2027 reflected President University’s commitment to fostering a transparent, inclusive, and participatory democratic culture. Throughout the election process, students were encouraged to take an active role in selecting their representatives and shaping the future of their student organizations. Beyond welcoming a new generation of student leaders, PUGE 2027 reinforced the values of accountability, leadership, and meaningful student participation.
