PUSC-PUSB Training 2026: Different by Nature, United by Purpose
President University, January 17-18, 2026 – On Saturday, January 17, 2026 President University Student Council (PUSC) and President University Student Board (PUSB) gathered for the PUSC-PUSB Training 2026. Under the tagline, "Different by Nature, United by Purpose," the event served as a strategic bridge between the two highest student organizations. This theme was chosen to acknowledge the distinct operational styles and strengths of each organization while still united by the same vision for the prosperity of President University.
This event was commenced by the Master of Ceremony, Ms. Carissa Isaiah Sudarman, with greetings and then followed by collectively singing the Indonesia Raya and the President University March by all participants. The event proceeded with a series of inspiring speeches from the Project Manager, Ms. Lauren Anastasya; the President of PUSB 2026, Ms. Fathiin Fajrin; and the Chairperson of PUSC 2026, Ms. Bilqis Aisya Nuri. Upon the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the training officially began.
The training began with the “Introduction for Project Manager (PM) and Vice Project Manager (VPM) Training,” where Mr. Farrel Kautsar, as the Head of Commission IV of PUSC 2026, explained the importance of the PM and VPM training. This was followed by the introduction of the Supervisors from PUSC and PUSB.
The focal point of the training was a material session on "The Importance of Communication Between Student Union," delivered by Mr. M. Raudy Gathmyr. During the material session, he emphasizes that effective communication is the foundational duty of any student union or organization. The presentation outlines several core principles aimed at fostering a cohesive and high-performing team. “Shift from 'me' to 'we'. Never ever use 'I' in a collectivism like a union. If you always say 'I', it won't be effective for your union,” Mr. Raudy stated, explaining that it shifts the focus from personal ego to shared goals. This communication change fosters organizational solidarity and reinforces the union's role as a representative voice for the entire student body.
Following the general session, members split into specialized tracks to ensure role-specific relevance:
- • General Training: Participated in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to streamline internal collaboration. The afternoon concluded with a reflection session where groups presented their discussion outcomes.
- • PM and VPM Training: PM and VPM focused on the technicalities of planning, managing, and evaluating campus events and concluded with a reflection session.
To further strengthen internal bonds, a lively game session was held to bridge the gap between PUSC and PUSB. Beyond the fun, these activities provided a vital space for members to forge genuine friendships and connections across organizational groups.
On the second day, the session continued with an introduction and material session by the Supervisors from PUSB. They covered the proposal structures and divisional responsibilities. Subsequently, the Supervisors from PUSC broke down the Regulation Number 2 Year 2026 Regarding Rules of the Supervisor from President University Student Council. They also elaborated the management of President University and essential event working tools. The session was followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and presenting the discussion outcomes.
The day was closed with a PM and VPM Character Analysis. In conclusion, the purpose of this training was to ensure that the "Different by Nature, United by Purpose" tagline is translated into daily practice. By bridging the gap between organizations, the program ensured that every member, regardless of their role, is prepared to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative environment that prioritizes collective success.
